General

Bonapol is an innovations-driven producer of high quality purified pollens for use in the pharmaceutical industry. Bonapol operates mostly in South Bohemia, Czech Republic, a region with healthy environment, low industrial pollution and high diversity of nature. Bonapol collects most pollens from plants that grow freely in the nature; however, some plant species are cultivated in own monocultures established from certified seed sources. For pollen processing, Bonapol uses an advanced technology that is very gentle to the pollen grains. Bonapol is a customer-oriented supplier ready to accommodate even very special quantity, quality, or species requirements.

History

2005: Bonapol was established as a joint-stock company with the intention to combine professional skills of plant biologists together with earlier experiences with pollen production.
2006: Bonapol started operations in the Center for Biological Technologies, an incubator for green-field R&D projects established by the Institute of Physical Biology (part of the University of South Bohemia) and the Institute of Systems Biology and Ecology (part of the Czech Academy of Sciences).
2007: Bonapol supplies have exceeded 100 kg of purified pollens to leading pharmaceutical companies.
2008: Bonapol increased production capacity by introducing new technologies of pollen purification.
2010: Bonapol moved to a new own production facility with substantially higher production capacity.
